Wallspace

A quiet Hermanity viewing room for original desktop-scale art: 78 downloadable hangings, ten collections, responsive previews, and a hash-addressed public catalog.

Overview

Wallspace is the quiet room I wanted for the art we had already made. Instead of leaving large wallpaper masters buried in project folders, it presents them as named collections with enough space to look before downloading.

The public gallery is live at walls.hermanity.dev. It currently holds 78 hangings across ten collections, ranging from the Organic Chrome studies to Civic Orbit and Parallax Instruments.

What ships

Each work has a dedicated detail route and smaller WebP previews for browsing. Downloads point to exact 4K or 5K masters where those sizes exist; selected collections also provide laptop, tablet, and phone crops. The site does not pretend an upscaled master was generated natively at that resolution.

The gallery remains usable without JavaScript. Optional filters, fullscreen viewing, and keyboard navigation improve the room, but the underlying collection and work routes are ordinary accessible HTML.

A public catalog at /data/catalog.json records dimensions, byte counts, and SHA-256 hashes for the downloadable files. That turns a decorative gallery into an inspectable archive: a visitor can verify that the file received is the one the page described.

Status

Active and publicly available. The live route and source repository were rechecked on September 4. The project is a curated art archive, not a claim that every work was generated at its final display resolution or that every source experiment belongs in the public collection.
